On this LIST, I ranked the three "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN" from my favorite to least favorite. Just to let you know, I adore all three films.

Final Fantasy x-2 for an early Christmas present. Is this any good?
21st-Dec-2009 10:57 pm - To PSP, or not to PSP...
Okay, so hey.
Here's my conundrum. I have a Playstation 2, a Wii, a DS and access to a PS3.
I want a PSP, but only to play 2 games on. Once I'm done with them, I'll probably never pick the thing up again. If I were to get a PSP it'd have to be a worthwhile investment (I'd have to use it more than for just those two games).
Can anyone recommend some good games for the PSP? Or am I just gonna waste my money on it if I don't end up using is aside from these two (Dissidia Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep), and it'll just sit and gather dust and be of use to no one?

21st-Dec-2009 01:35 pm - Xbox 360
I have a problem.

I have an older (3 years maybe? Online its warranty says it expired two years ago on the 17th) Xbox 360 that does not play game discs. I'm not sure that it could ever play original Xbox games anyway since I believe it's an "Arcade" model (I got the thing used as a gift) but it doesn't play the 360 games I've tried either.

Anyway, I really want to start getting some used 360 games and such and make use of this thing, but I don't know what I should do. Microsoft lets you send consoles in for repair but it costs $100 (I'm guessing they pay shipping since there's an option to print the shipping label). On the other hand, a brand new Arcade would be $200 (getting an Elite is right out of the question). There are people on Craigslist who offer to do repairs for $80, but that's a good chunk of money for no guarantee and I don't know about their reliability or honesty. Also, since I already have two controllers and perfectly good cables and the HDD and everything I really don't want to buy an entire new system . . . I just want a working console!

Does anyone have any advice? What would you do in my situation?
I figured some of you would me interested in these holiday sales. It looks like I'll be spending a LOT more than I thought I would this month.

21st-Dec-2009 01:06 pm - New Leg Design!!
So, I've decided to give my old Kero design an updated look, since I now know a lot more about crocheting than when I originally made his design. I was messing around with the legs. Previously, they were just little nubs. Now, I'm trying to shape them like Kero's legs actually look. After much frogging, this is the final result. I'll post the finished Kero as soon as I'm done! ^_^ Pic + Pattern! )

21st-Dec-2009 12:28 pm - PS2 Wireless Controllers
I was in Gamestop today, just browsing and I randomly spotted a wireless controller for the Paystation 2. I never knew they made wireless controllers for that system and I could really use one. My couch is so far from the TV that whenever I play my PS2 I need to put the system in the middle of the floor for the cable on the controller to reach the couch. This is dangerous because it can be tripped over if someone is trying to get past me (and on numerous times my dad has tripped over the controller cable itself trying to step over it, even though I place it on the ground to make it easier for him). I started doing some research online and came up with a few different options for wireless controller manufactures. The top thee on my list, in order are:

1.) Officially Licensed PS2 Wireless Controller - Black
2.) Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller
3.) Gamestop PS2 Wireless Controller

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with these items and could tell me how they perform. How are the feel of the buttons and how does it feel like in your hand? Too small, big, etc.? How long is the battery life? Can you buy rechargeable batteries for it? Maybe a batter pack like with 360 controllers?

Thanks for your help!

Do you ever go through a phase of playing through old school games?  Lately I've been busting my ass on ebay trying to find some of the older Zelda games for Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance.  I loved playing Link's Awakening but can't find my copy and never got to experience some of the other games for the handhelds which is why I'm looking.  I'm looking for other older games like Wario.  Man I loved Warioland 3 but again can't find my copy.     Do you do this?  What games have become your nostalgia obsessions?

So, is it just me, or does it bug anyone else that there is no inflation in the year 3000? Do they discuss it in the DVD commentary or any other place? I am not sure why it bugs me, and I hate to be "that guy." To demonstrate, I will quote the simpsons: "In reference to episode 3f04, Itchy strikes one of Scratchy's ribs, producing one note, then strikes it again, producing a different note. I really hope someone got fired for that."

Ok, so like about three months ago, Zee gave me the okay to start posting this story to this LJ.  Naturally, five minutes after that, my life had a nervous breakdown. However, that certain sexy horselord keeps visiting me in my dreams, and so I keep coming back to this story.  It's romantic (hopefully) fluffy (certainly) and will eventually be sexy. (Don't tell my mom, God rest her soul!) Please comment, critique, and generally let me know what you think.

Thanks, Lady Roh

20th-Dec-2009 08:40 am - Few questions...
Do your hands hurt after crocheting for a while? my middle finger on my left hand (im a righty) is so sore..and my hands get so stiff while crocheting that the only thing that makes them feel better is popping my knuckles. Oh and both of my thumbs skin are sore :( any advice?

Ive also noticed a lot of free pattern hubs (lion brand yarn, ravelry..etc)...which ones do yall use the most?
20th-Dec-2009 02:02 pm - Console.. Internet.. blah
hey ladies (and gentlemen),

I know this is probably eiher a dumb question, or plain impossible, BUT I'm gonna ask anyway... ;)

I have a PSP, PS3 and a DSi, but no WLAN... is there still a way to get any of the downloadable stuff? I know you can get some psp/ps3 stuff via computer but as I only got my credit card last month (and spent way too much on random crap) I haven't tested it yet...
does nintendo have something similar?

also, I know this probably doesn't work for the handhelds, but is there a way to plug the PS3 to the net? can I use a normal cable router for it or does it maybe even accept the internet stick I use for my laptop?
20th-Dec-2009 03:06 am - Looking for patterns
So I'm looking for a pattern for a gecko or a rhino. I can't afford to buy one, so I was wondering if anybody has one? I've looked online quite extensively and not found one I really like for free. (It's a gift for a friend of mine that really doesn't like the goofy anthropomorphized animals with clothes kind of thing, or really goofy anything, so that restricts my searches more than anything.) Also this would be the second thing I've ever done at all, and the first thing I've ever done without a more experience crocheter watching my every stitch. x.x; If I was more experienced I'd feel more comfortable just making it up as I went along, but I don't even yet have much confidence just in the doing stitches right. And my crochet goddess is in another state until January, so.. I really like the look of this gecko. I think he'd like it a lot. Also, there's the rhino that I think he'd think is adorable. Does anybody have any patterns, or know any websites that would have patterns, that look similar to either of these? Lizard/geckos and rhinos are his favorite animals, so I'm trying to find those. Help? j-j
