Okay everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but I hope once I show you what we've been working on, you'll forgive me! I present to you: the Star Trek crew! But not just any crew--the evil Star Trek crew!
Aren't they cute? They are from the "Mirror, mirror" episode of the original Star Trek series. We made (from left to right) Uhura, Marlena, Kirk, Spock, Bones, and Scotty. Aren't they so evil, with their little gold sashes? They have lots of little evil badges on, too. I love Kirk's little sparkly vest. Here's a closeup of Kirk and Spock, best (evil) buds:
I think the most challenging thing on this set of dudes was their hair (on my end, at least, I think those incredibly tiny sculpey badges were probably hard on the boyfriend), but I think in the end it turned out so well. Spock's little bowl cut totally makes him, and Kirk's combover/widow's peak hair looks awesome. Uhura's hair was the most difficult, but it definitely turned out super cute.
Okay, well, you can't really see it that well here, but I fixed it all up really nice in a little up-do. I think it totally looks like her, though. I like how the women get all sexified--maybe it's a subliminal message showing that scantily clad women equal evil women? Who knows.

Oh yeah, and here are all of their little extras:
See the two phasers? Well, they have a little black part that comes off, and it's held on by magnets. The left one shows the black part that is separated, and the right one has everything all together. And the little communicator flips open, too. I think the communicator is really cute.

Okay, anyway, that's it! I hope you guys like it. This was a really big custom order, so now that it's done we'll have some more time to finish Zelda and do more projects. Or I can just play Mass Effect some more. How come no one told me that game was so awesome?

I am planning on putting up some free patterns this week, to try and atone for my laziness in blogging this week. Also, if you have time, check out the etsy article about quitting your day job that I did! It was super fun to be interviewed, and I think the article turned out really well. It's time to save the world!

What do you say to that, Link? Nothing! Get it? Because Link doesn't talk! Okay, whatever. Anyway, here is Link! I was going to wait to post him until we had Zelda done, but I'm impatient and I want to show him off now, so here he is!
I think he's so adorable! I hardly did any work on him either, the boyfriend did most of the work this time. He did all of the decorative stitching and everything, which goes all around his hat and his tunic. He has little gauntlets too, which I think look a little cumbersome, but the boyfriend likes them. Anyway, that is just a picture of plain Link, here's a picture of his accessories.
He has a Master Sword, a shield, an ocarina, and a lonlon milk bottle. It's really very cute, it has a little label with a little cow on it and everything. We just found these little empty bottle charm thingies at Hobby Lobby, and he painted the inside white with a little paint and then taped the little label on. And Link can carry everything on him, too, except the ocarina. Like Boromir, his shield attaches to his back, and his sword fits in behind the shield. The milk can be attached on the belt too, it has a little loop on the top. Here's a better view of how it attaches:
Anyway, I hope you guys like him! More pics on the flickr, as always. Zelda will be following soon (I hope...) but we're still working on the Star Trek people, so who knows when we'll get a chance to finish her. Hopefully we're going to have the Star Trek crew finished by next week--they are going to be SO cool, by the way--so that will free up some time to work on our little side projects. Of course, with Mass Effect taking up a lot of my free time, who knows. I'll try to stay on task though! Stay tuned!

Because he's so tiny! Get it? Alright, nevermind. Anyway, here he is, (three days later than I promised, I know! I've been so bad!) Eomer, son of Eomund, rider of Rohan!
He he! Isn't he cute? He was pretty complicated, too. His helmet, of course, is amazing, and made out of scupey. He has, like, four layers of felt on---the green part (you can only see it sticking out of the front a little bit) and then the silver scale thing over that, and then the red armor part is two layers of felt. Then, everything is painted, and he has little gauntlets and fake chain mail. Here's his helmet:

It has a little horsey on the front and everything! And of course the horse tail (or whatever it is supposed to be) coming out of the top of the helmet. Look at all of the little details and engravings! It's crazy.

And here's everything all laid out--his helmet, and sword. His sword just tucks into his belt.

Anyway, I was so excited to share him with you guys, I just couldn't wait! We will be putting some better pictures on flickr later today or tomorrow, so keep an eye out for them. Cobra Commander is next, we're planning on having him ready by this weekend.

Firefly Amigurumi!

We finished the Firefly crew! Do you wanna see a picture? Of course you do. Here ya go.

Aren't they adorable? I think they're just the cutest. We wanted to finish them all before we posted them, and it was totally worth it! Everyone has their own little accessories, too. You'll just have to stay tuned to see them! Well, here's Jayne's. The hero of Canton in the flesh (well, yarn):

Ta da! He has his hat--of course. We already had the colors, too, because the boy wanted to knit a Jayne hat for himself. That didn't turn out to well. And yes, I crocheted the hat, but only because I cannot knit with double pointed needles to save my life. And the little poof ball on top! I like that part.

And of course, where would Jayne be without his favorite gun? Probably dead somewhere, but that's not the point. Here's Vera, made out of sculpey of course, hooked onto Jayne via a strap around his chest. His belt has little pockets on it, too. And his belt buckle is actually functional! How crazy is that?
He doesn't have much in the way of accessories, but the ones that he does have I think are really great. He even has his little wrist cuff! And grenades, of course. I was worried about how he would turn out, being kind of stubbly with really short hair (which is really hard to imitate in crochet and felt) but I think he is really great looking.

Anyway, Jayne is the first Firefly crew member we have pictures of, but there are eight more to go! Stay tuned.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...a plain looking amigurumi business man?

Huh. Well, that's kind of boring. But wait! He's taking his jacket off...
No wait, it's Superman! Ha ha. This little Superman is so cool! He can change into Clark Kent and everything. Okay, here's how it works.

The blue jacket (from the first picture) has the gray undershirt and tie all sewn together. It has working buttons to keep everything together. Yeah--they actually work. Then, when you want to change him into Superman, you unbutton the jacket, take the jacket and glasses off, spin the little jerry curl that's hidden under his hairline (I thought that part was especially hilarious) and attach his cape. The cape has little hooks sewn on, and I sewed the loops directly onto Superman's body. The way the cape is positioned, you can't even see the hooks!

We used Gorilla Glue to glue on his "S" so that there wouldn't be any holes, like there would have been if I had sewn it on. Let me just tell you--Gorilla Glue is AWESOME. That stuff is crazy strong. That "S" is not coming off anytime soon.

I am so pleased with how this turned out. I think he looks fantastic, and I absolutely love how he can change costumes. Let me know what you guys think! We're hoping to get lots done on this three-day weekend, so hopefully I'll have another post for you guys tomorrow.

We finished a custom order! (Finally, this one took almost a month to complete). It's a Ghostbuster! We were going to make Venkman, but we couldn't fit his name on the name tag so we just went with generic Ghostbuster dude.
Looks pretty plain from the front right? Well check this out!
He has so much gear on the back of him! The proton pack is the biggest backpack in the middle--it has bunches of wires and tons of little safety warnings on it. It connect with a hose to the proton gun (on the top right), which hooks on the backpack and can come off, so that the little guy can hold it.

And then on the bottom right we have the ghost trap, which connects on the left side to the little foot pedal, and the two on these both connect to the backpack.

Oh yeah, and the whole backpack shenanigans can all be removed. He's a little backwards heavy, but he can still stand up.
Look at the little detail patch! And the black thing are the elbow pads. He also has a walky-talky, but we didn't get a picture of it--it detaches from the belt too.

I'm so proud of him! It took a lot of work, but he ended up being really cute. I'm working on another custom order right now, and I won't tell you what it is but I think he's going to be SWEET! He's going to change costumes and everything...it's going to be really cool. I'll keep you guys updated!

Gandalf the White Amigurumi

Okay okay, we weren't working on the Firefly people this weekend. (Well, sort of, Vera is done now, as well as Zoe's gun and some other small accessories). But here's what we were working on instead!

It's Gandalf the White! Excuse the surprised look, I sewed his eyebrows on a little high. It's better than a little low though, otherwise he would look really angry. Anyway, we have had pieces of him done forever--the staff has been done for a couple of weeks, his clasp has been done for a month (which you can't even see because it's hidden by his beard!), and I quilted his front piece a couple of days ago. He actually came together pretty fast.

That diamond piece is quilted, and the white piece under it is painted. His cloak also has little painting designs around the edge too.
Uh oh...What's happening...
No! The two can't meet! Oh no!! Time paradox!
Aw man, the two Gandalfs broke the world. Good job guys.

Captain Jack Amigurumi

Alright everyone, we finally finished the character we've been working on for the past couple of days! I'm so excited about him. Here he is!
Captain Jack Sparrow! He is probably the most detail oriented amigurumi we've made so far, and we had to edit some of the stuff we were going to put on him. But he does have his compass, a bird's claw, two belts, a sword, his pistol, beads in his hair, bones in his hair, coins in his hair (and lots of other stuff I tied in there) and his hat and his jacket and his vest. Whew! That's a lot of stuff.

I kind of like him without his hat on. He has so many accessories going on here, I love how kind of crazy it makes him look. But he still turned out super cute. Can you believe those belt buckles are made out of sculpey? Boyfriend is getting really good at making belt buckles (and rum bottles!).
This is the first time we've done a fabric other than felt (for the fabric around his waist and his head scarf) and it wasn't too bad. I generally avoid felt because I hate to seam things, but these two weren't that bad. The jacket and vest are still felt though, and they both have all of the details painted on. I love the little buttons on the jacket, I think they turned out great.

Well, that's all I can say about it now. Check out my flickr page for more pictures, I uploaded a ton of them. This Jack is also for sale here if anyone is interested (the one we made for ourselves is safely tucked away, and not going anywhere!) I am so pleased with how he turned out, I hope you guys like him!

Another custom order

Okay guys, here's a custom order we finished a couple of days ago.
It's Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist! For those of you who don't watch anime, this character works for the military and is the on the "good guy" side of things. He is an alchemist and is known as the "Flame Alchemist" (I think, it's been a really long time since I've watched it). His outfit was actually pretty hard to figure out, it took a while to come together. His little flame on his hand also comes off.
He has his flame gloves on too,
see the little alchemy symbol? He has those on both sides, along with his shoulder patch and his rank insignia. We spent SO LONG looking for the right color felt for him, and even though it's not perfect I love the way it turned out. With the gold braid on, it looks like the perfect blue color. And the silver lines really make everything pop out, and make everything look very professional and crisp. I need to make Ed and Al now!

Boba Fett!

Alright guys, Boba Fett is finally done! He was super hard to make, but he turned out awesome. Just like Boushh and Darth Vader, his helmet comes off. The sculpey expert really outdid himself with this one (sometimes to the point of annoying me) but in the end I think it was all worth it.

His helmet turned out really well; it looks all battle scarred and distressed. Check out his shoulder armor things too--one side has the Mandalorian symbol on it. Also check out his breastplate--his little electronic display reads "1138" on it.

His little armbands have a dart thrower in it too--if you look really closely (or at this super close shot--whatever) you can see teeny tiny little darts in it.
Let me know what you think! I'm very proud of him. I know I said I was working on Firefly people, but I have a list of like a thousand people that I want to make. Sometimes we get carried away over here, but I promise we are still working on it! We bought all of the supplies for the crew, so it shouldn't be long now.

Alright, my latest invention: spice weasel lip balm cozy! That's right. Now, while I don't necessarily see the use of a lip balm cozy, who can object to a spice weasel lip balm cozy? It gives you an excuse to shout "BAM" really loudly, in any case. Here's the pattern.

Materials:
Spice Weasel colored yarn
A scrap of white/beige yarn
Size 10 pink crochet thread
One keyring
Googly eyes

TAIL:
With white/beige yarn
ch 2
Row 1: 3 sc in 2 ch from hook
Row 2-3: even sc
change to spice weasel color
Row 4-6: even sc

BACK LEGS: Make two
With spice weasel color
ch 2
Row 1: 6 sc in 2 ch from hook
Row 2: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) twice, 2 sc
Row 3-5: even sc
BO, leave a long tail to secure to body

FRONT LEGS: Make two
With spice weasel color
ch 2
Row 1: 4 sc in 2 ch from hook
Row 2: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st), 2 sc
Row 3-6: even sc
BO, leave a long tail to secure to body

MAIN BODY:
With spice weasel color
ch 2
Row 1: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) until you have about 17 sts (or as large as it needs to be to fit your chapstick--I used Burt's Bee's as a measurement)

Around Row 4, sew in the tail, it will be easier to sew in now than when the body is complete. Make sure you secure the tail very tightly, because this is where the keyring will go.

Crochet even rows until the body is about 2-2 1/2 inches. BO. Sew in the two back legs and the two front legs.

HEAD:
With the pink crochet thread
ch 2
Row 1: 6 sc in 2 ch from hook
Row 2: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) three times
change to spice weasel color
Row 3: even
Row 4: increase until you have the same amount of stitches as the body--in this case, it was 17 sts.

Continue with even rows until the head is about 1-1 1/2 inches long. Attach the head to the body.
I attached it at the top of the head, so that his neck opens to reveal the chapstick. I just whip stitched the two pieces together, spanning an area of about 10 sts on the top of the head.

Now it's time to attach the eyes--this is how I did it.
I cut out two very small pieces of black felt, which I stitched to the head using invisible thread. I then used Gorilla Glue to glue the eyes onto the pieces of felt. You can just use black felt if you want, or you can try and glue googly eyes directly on the yarn, although I'm not sure what the effect would be.

Details:
Cut three small pieces of yarn to use for his little tufts of hair. I poked these through the neck; they just have a knot on one side.

Use a tiny piece of black thread to make the nostrils, secure with a knot inside the head.

Attach the keyring to the tail.

You should be done! I'm sorry if this is kind of confusing, I was trying to be as detailed as possible, but with so many small pieces I know it can get a little messy. If anyone makes one, I hope you post pics!

Lord of the Rings custom orders

I wanted to share with you guys the two custom orders we just finished. They are SO COOL.
It's the Witch King of Angmar! He's so evil, yet so cute at the same time. Okay, maybe more evil than cute. We didn't want to make the sword look corny and like it is on fire, so it is tinged red to make it sort of firey looking.
That's right, he has a mace too. The pictures don't really show it, but his coat is all tattered and ratty looking, and he has little spikes on the back of his arms. He is really super cool, he turned out really awesomely. We were worried about how his face armor was going to turn out, but it is so cool and so spikey. (I'm still a little excited about finishing him, so I'm not very coherent in my thoughts yet).

And our other creation:
King Aragorn! I love the tree of Gondor, so any little guy with the tree on his armor is all right in my book. I think Aragorn turned out really well though. He has a lot of painting done on his coat.

The silver stuff on his arms is supposed to be chain mail (I hope you can tell). I just crocheted it out of silver thread. I like the effect it gives, rather than just using silver yarn. He also has shoulder armor on:
Ah! He turned out super cute. The eye placement is really important when you make amigurumi dudes, and his eyes turned out really well. If you don't place them correctly, you can end up with slightly retarded looking amigurumis.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this latest batch! I'm really happy with how they turned out. I'm working on some more custom orders right now, but I also finished some more dudes to put up in the shop. I'm really excited about the new custom orders too though, I'm not sure with how they'll turn out but I am super excited to work on them.

Futurama!

And now, a grotesque stinking lobster!
I think he's very cute. When I saw this color yarn in the yarn store (Woolie Ewe! It's awesome) I knew I had to make Zoidberg. You can't really see in this picture, but he has little claws instead of normal hands. They were pretty hard to make, but I think it turned out alright.

I like his head mirror too, I think it's really cute. It can come off though, so he doesn't always look so professional (yeah right).
He got in the garbage again! Eating fish bones. Tsk tsk.

And here's the other Futurama character I made:

Everyone said his head needed to be taller, but I think he's cute like this. I like his little ears. I don't know why the color is so washed out here, but his uniform is a maroonish color.

I think this might be all of the Futurama characters I make--the rest don't turn out so well, so I think I'll just stick to these aliens. I'm working on the Firefly cast right now, and another stand-alone character from some movie (I'm not telling what movie). I'll do a teaser of him later--you'll never guess who it is this time!

We named the dog Indiana!

Alright everybody, here's what we have been working on! Indiana Jones. I think he is SO cute.

Ah! Isn't he adorable? The boy made all of the accessories, as usual, the holy grail, magic stones, and the golden idol (did you guys realize that the guy that took the golden idol from Indy, and then got a spear through the head, was Alfred Molina? No one believed me!) and I made the whip. I was most worried about his hat, but I think it turned out great.

I wanted his undershirt to only have one arm, unfortunately I'm not sure the felt looks distressed enough. I KNOW that his shirt isn't open enough, I wanted him to be kind of risque, but the boy told me to sew it down so it doesn't flap too much. But he still turned out so cute! He looks like he's been in a really tough, yet clean, fight.

We didn't make his gun, because we thought it would clutter up the whole look too much. I think he looks great the way he is, though. I made up a new method for the hair, so it can be cut shorter, and I think it turned out really well.

It looks like he doesn't have a hand, but he really does. Anyway, let me know what you think, if anyone's out there!

Custom Order: Boushh

Alright, the reason it's been a little quiet in here is because we have been working like crazy on making these little dudes. Most of them are Lord of the Rings characters, but we did get to do a custom order for Boushh, the bounty hunter in "Return of the Jedi" that Princess Leia dresses up as. I thought you guys would like to see some pictures!
He he! I know she's a little funny looking, but it's mainly because of the angle. And Boushh is kind of weird looking anyway. But the helmet is completely awesome. The boy really outdid himself on it. She also has her spear and a thermal detonator.

Okay, and get this--she has a magnet in her hand, and there's a magnet in the thermal detonator, so she can actually hold it! It's not completely stable, because cooking a magnet inside of the sculpey kind of weakened the magnet a little, but it's enough to stay unless you're rough with it.
And of course, like Darth Vader her helmet comes off. I think she's pretty adorable, I was really sad to see her go away this morning. Since it was a custom order, I didn't make one for myself, and the boy says the helmet was so hard he doesn't want to make another, so I may not get one. Let me know what you guys think!

On another note, I have Zoidberg finished! I just have to make his jacket and he'll be ready. He is super cute. Maybe too cute for someone who is supposed to be a grotesque stinking lobster. But I digress. I'll post pictures when he's ready.

Darth Vader

Alright everyone, time to unleash Vader! The Imperial March is now playing in your head.
He's pretty sculpey intensive, not so much for me to do this time. The boy did most of the work: helmet, voice box, belt details, and lightsaber. Pretty crazy, huh? Okay, and get this:
His helmet comes off! And his lightsaber can "turn off" too. The lighsaber beam is a little skewer, painted red, and it has a little hole in the lighsaber that it sits in. Isn't that so cool? Those pink things on his head are supposed to be scars, but I'm not sure they turned out exactly how I wanted them. They do look better in person though, this pic is kind of washed out.
That detail is insane. It's all painted sculpey, of course, but everything is carved, too. And they all have metal loops on the back of them, that's how they are attached to the belt. The lightsaber clips on, too, by a little earring hook.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think! I think I will have my Ackbar and Yoda pattern up for sale tomorrow, and I am working on a custom order for someone--I will post pics when it is shipped out, but it is going to be insane. Of course, another sculpey intensive project, so I have relatively little to do, but that is going to make it that more impressive. Stay tuned!

Star Wars!

BAAAH! buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh ....okay, that was supposed to be the Star Wars intro. Anyway, here's my latest set of little figures!

Aw, aren't they cute? That's Admiral Ackbar on the left, followed by Leia, Chewie, Han, and Yoda rounding off things in the front. Don't you just love little Yoda's ears? I am still debating whether or not I want to give him little white tufts of hair. He's so cute right now I don't really want to mess with anything.

Admiral Ackbar was really hard, too. I wanted his head to slope backwards--if you ever look at his head, you will notice how strangely shaped it is. All I remember about it is that I ripped out his head about 3 times and that he has some double crochet in the front. As to how many rows, how many stitches, I'm not sure. I'll figure it out one of these days, though.

Of course you guys want to see the little sculpey things my boyfriend made, right? Okay fine, here they are.
I can't believe how detailed the little lightsaber it! And it is so tiny! And get this--the beam of the lightsaber is removable, so Luke can wear it on his belt! (when we finish the belt...) I thought that was so cool.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what I have been up to. I will be posting the other characters we have made really soon!

Life after the Fellowship...

Well, my plan for this blog was to post all of the Fellowship members, along with pictures and my incredibly witty, insightful thoughts about creating them. Well, since the Fellowship has burst upon the interwebs (with more incredible success than I thought possible, like this or this or this) I thought I would post some information about some LotR characters that I didn't show everyone. You know, maybe to make this blog actually relevant?

Okay, here goes--


Faramir! Isn't he so cute? Unlike the members of the Fellowship, he doesn't have any accessories. Of course, the tree of Gondor on his outfit is so incredible, that I don't think he needs anything. He is kind of complicated, though--he has three different layers of felt (the brown, the tan, and the dark brown) and little gold rings connecting the tan colors together. And of course his cloak.


The bottommost layers of felt have some decorative "baseball" stitching on them (not sure if that's a technical term, but it's the kind of stitching they have on baseballs so it's a good bet). And of course the belt--we have TONS of leather, since the boy used to work at a furniture store and got to keep lots of their little fabric samples they threw away.

I don't have a picture of him next to his brother Boromir, but they do look like they are related! Faramir's hair is one shade lighter but still in the same color category.

Faramir was the first non-Fellowship member I made, and of course (so he wouldn't be lonely) I had to make his lady-love, Eowyn--but you have to wait till the next post to see her! Okay, you could cheat and go to my flickr page, but then you wouldn't get to see all of the neat things I have to say about her!

Pretty Little Leggy

Alright everybody, time for the pretty little elf, doing his little nancy dance. (Can you tell I was obsessed with Cassandra Claire's LotR private diaries?)

To be honest, Legolas was not my favorite in the beginning. He turned out fatter than the rest (and my sister was yelling at me to make him skinnier than the rest, being an elf and all) and his head is kind of a funny shape. It was super hard to find the right colors for him, both in yarn and in felt. Even now I'm still not sure we shouldn't have made him in silver yarn and a beige felt tunic with the green felt vesty thing over that. Being so fat though, that would have made him huge.

Anyway, once we got his hair together and his awesome bow and arrow and quiver, I changed my mind. The boy did such a wonderful job with the quiver (can you see that peacock? How crazy is that?!) and the bow (except when the cats ate it and stole the silver thread on it) that I think I changed my mind about little Leggy.

Definitely the prettiest!

Blow your horn, Boromir

Ha ha, okay, time for some Boromir. (I know all of these pics are already on craftster and flickr, but I wouldn't have anything else to post unless I did these one by one. Plus, I know everyone enjoys my stupid random comments, right? RIGHT?). Anyway, on to the show--

Little Boromir! I cannot express how much I love his little horn of Gondor. The boy painted and sculpted it and then even put little rings so I could strap it around Boromir. Except for all of the sculpey, Boromir is one of the more simple Fellowship members, but he is one of my favorites.

Of course, as soon as I made Boromir, I had to make Faramir too, and then Eowyn so that Faramir wouldn't be lonely (being the only non-Fellowship member and all) and then of course Theoden, because Eowyn would probably want to be with her uncle too (if he was still alive). But that's another post. For now, enjoy our poor fallen hero.

Okay, I will be honest. I never really cared that much for Gimli in the LotR movies, because I thought he was just used as some campy comic relief and he scares me a little because he reminds me of some of my customers at work. ANYWAY, I love the little Gimli the boyfriend and I made.

Isn't he so cute? I love his little braids. We decided that his beard would have to be made out of felt, like the other characters that have beards, and it couldn't be braided like in the movie, but I think the effect here turned out really well. Also, how cute is his little helmet? The boyfriend sculpted little Dwarven runes into it before he painted it. Crazy, right?
And you can't see them very well, but Gimli has two little braided strands running across his chest. I braided those suckers, they are 5 stranded braids (which are VERY HARD to do, for me at least) and you can barely see them. Oh well.

Put on your robe and wizard hat, because here comes Gandalf!

Isn't he adorable? No, he won't do any pointy hat tricks, but I still think he's pretty cool. His body is totally crocheted, and his clothes are made out of felt. I love the little details on him--his staff is made out of sculpey, and his pipe fits inside! You can see it if you squint. He also has his little tobacco pouch too, because you never want a wizard to be caught off guard.

I know the colors might seem a bit off (like his belt and satchel) but those are the real colors he wears. The "Lord of the Rings" movies use a blue tint for everything, so it is hard to choose which colors to go with--the colors from exhibits and pre-edited movie stills, or the actual colors that are in the movie. Of course I went with pre footage, and now I kinda wish I didn't, but oh well.

Sorry Gandalf, no Lorien cloak for you. More Fellowship members to come soon, be on the lookout!

Wow! This is my very first blog ever, so I'm still getting used to everything. I started this blog to show the world the crafts that I make, as well as other stuff I find around the web that I think is cool. Of course, in keeping with the name of the blog, everything will (er, at least should) be geek related. I have a passion for crafts related to video games, movies, anime, and even books (I have visions of amigurumi Karamazov brothers--but I got a little sidetracked).

Hopefully in the coming weeks I will be able to show everyone what I have been working on. I think that so far, my little amigurumi dudes are turning out really well. I hope that this blog will be the source of inspiration for those looking for more unconventional, geeky crafts, as well as a place for me to show general things that I enjoy.
